Victor C. Lewis

Victor C. Lewis, Republican representing Oswego County in the Assembly was born in Fulton in 1880, son of Mrs. Thomas D. Lewis. He attended High School and later engaged in business. Was employed by the State engineering department for four years. Was elected Mayor of the City of Fulton, served 2 years, and was then re-elected for the second term by an increased majority. Both terms were among the most successful terms of the city. Many public improvements were made during these two terms. Declined to be a candidate for the third term. He has been landlord of the Hotel Lewis for several years. Was elected a member of the Assembly, in Oswego County in November 1923, by a large majority over his opponent. Mr. Lewis is married and has two daughters. Like his father, Thos. D. Lewis, who served in the Assembly for several terms, is very popular with all classes of citizens in Oswego County.
